Tod Donhauser

Tod has over 20 years of experience advising clients on complex and consequential public affairs and strategic communications matters. He has particular expertise across the technology, healthcare, consumer, and financial services sectors, and an exceptional track record helping clients navigate the dynamic regulatory environment. Throughout his career, he has led significant assignments as a senior communications counselor for multinationals, C-suite executives and governments in North America, Africa, and the Middle East.

Before joining H/Advisors Abernathy, Tod was a director at Google where he established the global trust marketing team for Search. In this role, he was responsible for building trust with Google’s expansive user base and multiple global stakeholders. Previously, Tod served as the CEO of Edelman’s operations in the Middle East, founded Edelman’s first office in Africa and led the technology policy practice in Washington, D.C. Prior to Edelman, Tod worked as a legislative aide in the United States House of Representatives and served as the campaign manager in a competitive congressional reelection bid.

 

Representative Experience

• Various strategic communications and public affairs assignments on behalf of Walmart, Barclays, The United States Institute for Peace, Mubadala, and General Electric

• A successful campaign to secure the release of the world’s longest-held POWs for the government of Morocco

• The launch of the first controller-free gaming platform for Microsoft, which garnered accolades, including multiple SABRE Awards for excellence by the Holmes Report and recognition from the International Public Relations Association
