Ellen DeSanctis

Ellen DeSanctis serves as a Senior Counselor for H/Advisors Abernathy where she brings years of corporate experience in setting strategy and executing corporate communications programs in investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets engagement, stakeholder engagement, marketing and branding programs, internal communications and crisis communications. In her communications roles, Ellen brought a strong passion for working with and leading teams in providing functional expertise to transform and elevate the corporate communications function.

Ellen’s experience includes roles with some of the upstream energy sector’s most successful companies. She retired as Senior Vice President of Corporate Relations for ConocoPhillips in 2022 and previously held similar roles at Petrohawk Energy, Rosetta Resources, Burlington Resources and Vastar Resources. She spent her early career in technical and finance roles at ARCO and Shell Oil Company. Ellen currently serves on the boards of Plains and Plains GP Holdings.

Ellen received a BA in Geological & Geophysical Sciences from Princeton University and an MBA with Concentration in Finance & Venture Initiation from the University of California, Los Angeles.
