Deven Anand

Deven Anand helps lead H/Advisors Abernathy’s Hedge Fund practice, advising managers and their investor relations teams on media relations, investor communications and public positioning initiatives that advance and protect their firms’ reputations across market cycles. In addition to representing hedge funds and other private capital firms, including private equity, venture capital, real estate and family offices, he provides strategic counsel to public and private corporations operating across a variety of industries, with particular expertise in financial services and consumer goods.

Deven has extensive experience in financial communications, including supporting investor relations programs at various Fortune 500 companies, and has supported on mergers and acquisitions of all sizes, with a total deal value of more than $100 billion.  He also advises on a variety of other issues, including crisis, litigation and restructuring.

Representative experience includes advising: Cerner Corporation on its $28.3 billion merger with Oracle, Keurig Dr Pepper on its €15.7B acquisition of JDE Peet’s, Biogen on its $7.3 billion acquisition of Reata Pharmaceuticals, Bridge Investment Group on its $1.5B sale to Apollo, Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP) on a variety of transactions, day-to-day media relations, and other initiatives on behalf of the firm and its portfolio companies, First Horizon on its mutual termination agreement with TD Bank, a leading Fortune 500 CPG company on an international facility closure and profile raising, media relations and investor communications support for various hedge funds and their managers.

Deven started his career at H/Advisors Abernathy after graduating with a degree in Philosophy, with honors, from Trinity College.
